The stockings are hung and ready for filling.

A very quick post today of my final Christmas finish for 2023,  Two Christmas stockings for my very special Grandboys!

I cheated and used pre-made fuzzy red stockings and added the trims and decorative patches. The patches are both needle punched.  (I have an earlier post about this technique). They are embellished with snow flakes, beads, buttons and pom-poms.

Mister Snowman is my own simple design.
Santa was from JoAnn Mullary's book Wool Crazy and was meant as a wool applique design. I turned Santa into a needle punch project and I think it worked out great.
Merry Christmas!  Safe travels and a blessed holiday to all!!

FALL

Besides quilting I do enjoy a ton of other crafts. One of my favorites is needle punch.
Both of these projects are from the 2018 Fall issue of Punch Needle and Primitive Stitcher Magazine.
If you have a chance to pick up this magazine make sure you do! I find it to have really cute ideas in every issue!

This cute pumpkin was designed by Kathy Brown.  I did change the buds on the vines from the original. I also added beads and plastic leaves and finished it off with a wool border.  Mine finishes at 8" X 10".

This cute group of pumpkins was designed by Joanne Page.  I added a wool border and a great black fringe. With the fringe the piece finishes at 7" X 10".

Ready for fall!  The pumpkin quilt in the background is something I made years ago(15+).  It was from a pattern but I could no longer find it in my stash of patterns.  If you know the designer please let me know.  I would love to add their name to my blog.  I also would like to remake it--- can you see my poor corners, wow.
